ABOUT MARIA ZACHARIAE
Architect Maria Zachariae, founder of MZ Arcinterior is danish, grew up in the university town of Aarhus and started her architect studies there. She graduated from Copenhagen School of Architecture with a Master in Furniture and Interior. After her graduation, Maria moved to London to work for Richard Horden associates. Her first move paved her future international career. She worked for companies like Bodum in Switzerland, Anoushka Hempel Design in London and Bestseller Company in Denmark. Parallel with her employments Maria collaborated with furniture design companies as Skagerak and Carl Hansen. Maria Zachariae specializes in renovation of private homes with a characteristic design, minimal though still very sensual and powerful, often inspired by her scandinavian background and her international lifestyle. She is a visionary and aesthetic architect and will not compromise when it comes to quality and functionality.
ABOUT FILE UNDER POP
Maria Zachariae is also the agent for Switzerland and Austria for the danish design company File under Pop. File under Pop specializes in surface design. The company directed by Josephine Akvama Hoffmeyer transforms rooms by clothing walls, floors and ceilings with handmade tiles from clay and lavastone, handprinted wallpaper and exclusive paint. All products are processed entirely by hand, combining antique craftsmanship with modern technology, resulting in characteristic and unique surfaces and finishes.
Texture and colors are the keyword of File under Pop. These characteristics are also some of Maria Zachariae´s strong sides and therefor they become each other very well.
The File under Pop tile collection consist of 25 motifs and 38 colors in three different finishes - Matt, Shiny and Shiny Crystal
